🧙♀️ I Got Tired of the Timeline So I Built This Instead
Politics broke me.
Not in the dramatic “I shall write a manifesto” way. More in the “I opened the app, saw the same three arguments for the fourth day in a row, and closed the laptop before I said something that would require an apology I don’t feel like writing” way.
So I did the only reasonable thing left: I started building a website.
This one.
It’s an experiment. GitHub Pages, free hosting, Markdown files, and whatever Liquid I haven’t broken yet. Compared to the usual Next.js projects I throw together when someone actually pays me, this is the bargain-bin version. No database, no auth, no “please create an account,” no quiet analytics. Just files and a build that sometimes works on the first try.
The goal is simple. Facts and data first. Sarcasm as the default setting. Argue with the sources, not the caption. If I wanted to get recruited into someone else’s narrative I would have stayed on the timeline.
Will it stay cheap and slightly cursed? Probably. Will I keep posting here when the feed gets unbearable again? Also probably.
You’re welcome. Or sorry. Depends on the day.
